Rescue Story:
KAIRO’s story began on a cold winter day, alongside his two siblings and their devoted mother. Their mum had created a makeshift nest under concrete plates at a ruined house, doing her best to keep her little ones safe. Spotted near the road, she was seen running back and forth, her worry palpable. A kind-hearted passerby stopped their car, and with immense determination, Mummy-dog led them to her hidden nest, pausing frequently to make sure they were following. Her plea for help was undeniable, and there was no choice but to bring the entire family to safety.

When I visited Ukraine this summer, I had the privilege of meeting KAIRO and his siblings at one of the largest fosters among our partners. KAIRO is a truly beautiful soul, and my children, who were with me, adored him. He has a cheerful, playful spirit that lights up any room, and he loves being in the company of others, whether human or canine.
KAIRO is a bright and joyful boy, always ready for a play session or a cuddle. He’s very social, with a heart full of love for everyone he meets, including children. His playful nature makes him a delight to be around, and he thrives in the company of other dogs. KAIRO is gentle and affectionate, always eager to spread happiness wherever he goes. Though he can be a bit shy in new surroundings, he quickly builds trust and becomes a loyal and loving companion. Currently living in a foster home with other dogs and six cats, KAIRO tolerates the cats well.
