LENNY~2.5 years old boy~Greyhound

LENNY is UK surrender dog. Greyhound. 22kg. Castrated.

Based in East  Midlands, available for adoption over UK (collection from location or sometimes part way meeting can be agreed)

LENNY is very friendly and good behaved. He came to our Emergency Foster in Burton after he was booked to put to sleep as undesired and uncomfortable dog.He was privately rehomed but the lady that took him  could not keep him as he was not doing good with her resident dog and according to her words showed food guarding. His original family that had him from 8-weeks pup didn’t want him back (as he was growling at their newborn baby when asked to eave a bed, which he used before baby was born). So his new family booked him to be put to sleep.  We had only a few hours to rescue him  and luckily an emergency foster was found.

We expected Lenny to be super anxious and unsure in a new home but he was very good and calm. His foster also says that she didn’t notice any food guarding at Lenny. Most likely his there were some human mistakes in his temporary home, which leads to Lenny was very stressed and anxious.

Lenny is currently at our Foster with no dogs and with 14 years old child.
That what Foster says about him:

” This boy deserves the bestest home ever. He is a gentle giant, full of love and cuddles.. basically he is a typical sighthound … a 22kg lapdog who is totally unaware of his size . not good with cats..and he is a lot daft”
LENNY is very affectionate and adore to  to be near humans. This what is said about his breed :   TEMPERAMENT: Greyhounds are known for their gentle and calm nature, friendly and non-aggressive, although some can be aloof toward strangers. They’re intelligent and independent, even catlike in many ways.

EXERCISE: Despite their racing history, Greyhounds have moderate exercise needs. Perfectly happy with two 30-40 minute walks a day.  Greyhounds are built for speed, not stamina. They enjoy short bursts of activity but are also content lounging indoors

LENNY is looking for a family with no young kids, preferably no dogs and experienced with greyhounds or similar breeds.

LENNY has no known health issues; castrated. Full vaccination pack,  microchipped.
