LEO’s story began as a yard dog, chained outside in all weathers, cherished only by his elderly owner. When she passed away, he was left behind, still tied up, hungry and alone. His sad plight was shared on social media, and that’s when rescuers stepped in. Despite everything, Leo is still brimming with love for people and longing for a family to call his own.
Ideal Family:
🏡 Leo needs a peaceful, structured home where he can be the centre of someone’s world. He’d thrive with experienced owners who understand dog body language, are comfortable with giving him space during meals, and are looking for a companion to share their life with—on the sofa, on walks, and in all their little everyday routines.

“When we first had him he did not take long to settle and learn our routine and loves to sleep on his orange bed outside our bedroom door at night so he still feels close to us even when we are sleeping abd he likes to sleep and sit next to you on the sofa in the day or he will find his own spot within the household usually by a door somewhere.

Important Notes:
🧠 Leo does guard his food—he must be fed in a quiet area with no people passing by, and no long-lasting high-value treats should be given. He needs to be left in peace while eating.
🚫 No young children—Leo once reacted with a bite when approached by a kid near food, so he needs an adult-only home with dog-savvy people who will respect his boundaries when he is eating.
