Millie is a beautiful, always happy, loving, and easy-going girl. She is around 3 years old, medium-sized, and spayed. Millie has spent many months in kennels and is now in a foster home that’s kindly giving her a new chance. Millie is friendly with everyone, including kids, dogs, and cats. She’s a happy and affectionate girl who loves her walks and enjoys being part of a family.

However, due to her past, Millie can guard her bed and high-value treats, so an adult-only, experienced, kind and understanding home is essential where her resource guarding can be managed with the right training and care.

Rescue Story:
Millie’s journey has been a long one. After spending months in kennels, she was placed into foster care where she started to truly shine. Sadly, due to her past experiences, Millie has resource guarding behaviours, especially over her bed and high-value items. This can be unpredictable and is something her foster home has worked hard to manage.

Despite this, Millie has shown a gentle and loving nature. She loves to be stroked, enjoys belly rubs, and loves playing with toys. She gets along well with other dogs and has no problem sharing a space with cats. But, with the right home and continued positive training, Millie is sure to thrive.

Detailed Information:
Millie is an affectionate, playful girl who enjoys being in the company of her family. She’s excellent on the lead, loves her walks, and is great off-lead. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and will always check back to make sure you’re there when out walking. She’s housetrained, doesn’t chew, and can be left alone for a few hours without causing any trouble.

Her previous foster shared:

“Millie is a very sweet, attractive, and affectionate young dog. She’s docile and friendly, enjoys being stroked and groomed, and loves to play with toys. She’s great off-lead and enjoys exploring the countryside. She’s friendly with everyone she meets, but she’s a little nervous of larger dogs at first. She’s a very loving girl, calm in the house, and very good with commands. However, she needs an experienced home to manage her resource guarding behaviour.”

Ideal Family:
Millie is best suited to an experienced adult-only home or one with older children (10+) who understand dog body language and respect her space. She would thrive in a home that can provide her with structure and stability, where she can continue to learn and grow in a calm environment. Her ideal family will need to be patient and willing to invest in training, particularly around her resource guarding.

Millie is an affectionate, intelligent, and playful dog who has so much love to give. She’s a wonderful companion for anyone willing to give her the time and understanding she deserves.

Health Information:
Millie is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done, microchipped. C.Brucella tested .
