Rescue Story:
NINA’s story is one of heartbreak, but also of hope. She was found with her sister, MARILYN, and their mother in a horrific situation. Thrown into a deep ground well used as a rubbish dump in a Ukrainian village, they were left to die. It was only when a passerby heard faint cries that help was called, and the family was rescued just in time. NINA’s early months were filled with suffering, but her gentle heart still holds a deep capacity for love and trust.
NINA has arrived in UK and this what her foster says after having her just for 5 days:
“Nina was very shy and skittish when she first arrived in foster, but she has started to come out of her shell, she comes for cuddles and snuggles on the sofa and loves to be close. In just a few days she has made incredibly brave steps and I’m so proud of her! Sometimes she will bark out of uncertainty- like at her own reflection- but with each new experience, she grows more confident.
Nina is such a sweet pup with beautiful unique markings and super soft fur.
Nina is eager to build trust and be loved.🥰
Toilet Trained and well behaved indoors. Settles well and is adjusting well.
Nina would thrive with a kind, patient owner who can give her the time and space she needs to fully trust. 🐾”
Since her rescue before she arrived to UK, NINA has been living in a foster home in Ukraine where she’s been given love, care, and a safe space to grow. Initially shy, she’s starting to come out of her shell, watching new people with curiosity and wagging her tail. She’s now taking treats from unfamiliar hands—a sign that her heart is opening up, little by little.
NINA is a calm and affectionate soul who thrives with patient guidance. Though shy in new environments and cautious with strangers, she warms up with time and understanding. NINA is fantastic with other dogs and will benefit from having a calm, confident canine companion to help guide her through the world. A furry friend will help her adjust more easily, giving her the security and comfort she needs to feel safe.
She loves to play with toys, enjoys quiet moments, and isn’t overly energetic. A home with a secure garden would be perfect for her, where she can feel free to explore at her own pace. NINA has been fully housetrained for months and learnned to walk on a leash, though she will need slow, gentle introductions to new experiences. Given her sensitive nature, a quiet household with older children (10+) would suit her best, as loud noises or fast movements may overwhelm her.
NINA is looking for a family with a heart full of patience and love. In return, she will offer you her gentle affection, blossoming into the loyal, loving companion she was always meant to be. With time, NINA’s shy, tender nature will transform into confidence and joy, bringing light and warmth to your home.
NINA is fully healthy. She is not yet spayed as recommended after her first season (Spay agreement applies). She has all core vaccines done and is microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
