UK SURRENDER TWIG 3 yo boy – Greyhound/Lurcher- Reduced FeeURGENT

💔 WHY IS THERE NO HEART, NO PLACE FOR HIM? 💔

TWIG has been waiting. And waiting. Forgotten by the world, through no fault of his own. He has everything to be loved—a big heart, a joyful spirit, a loyal soul. Yet, time after time, he’s been left behind.

His fosterer says:
“We have had him for about 6-7 months total now, but our lease is ending, and we are forced to give him up before April. Sadly, there has been no real interest in adopting him, so we are desperately searching for another foster. The alternative is kennels… but the last two times he was there, he came back extremely malnourished and with bad skin issues. We nursed him back with care, love, and proper food. He really is the loveliest dog—he listens, learns quickly, and adores being with people. If anyone can help, please, please reach out.”

Twig is only 2.5 years old. A beautiful, loving, large lurcher. He is full of life—playful, affectionate, and eager to please. He loves running, playing, and exploring, but when the adventure is over, he curls up at home, calm and cuddly. He has been through so much, but he still believes in love.

Twig should not be in kennels. It will break him. He needs a home, a family, or at least a foster to stop him from being lost again.

So why has no one opened their heart to him? Why does he have to face losing his home again? It is heartbreaking. He doesn’t deserve this. No dog does.

TWIG AT A GLANCE:
SIZE: Large (75 cm shoulder height, 23 kg)
NEUTERED: Yes
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Joyful, active, affectionate, eager to please
DOGS: Friendly and playful, but too boisterous for tiny or fearful dogs
CATS: No
CHILDREN: Best suited for older kids (12+)

HIS STORY:
Twig came to us in September 2022 as a 5-month-old pup. No one else wanted him, so we stepped in. He was a typical excitable, mouthy puppy—full of energy and love. He was adopted by a woman experienced with greyhounds, and for nearly two years, we received wonderful updates. Then, suddenly, without warning, she brought him back, saying he had bitten another dog.

There was no proof. Only silence. No chance to ask questions—she blocked us and walked away. Twig, however, had clear bite marks on his own paws. And just like that, after nearly two years of being part of a family, he was abandoned again.

He has been in foster since, and his carer describes him as affectionate, bright, and loving. Yes, he needs guidance. Yes, he needs a home that understands him. But he is NOT a bad dog. He is a dog that has been failed too many times.

WHO TWIG NEEDS:
Twig needs an experienced, active home—one that will give him the time, patience, and love he has always deserved. A family who enjoys adventures and long walks, who will help him feel safe and understood. He is wonderful with people, but he needs a home without small animals and one where boundaries are respected. Older children (12+) would be best.

HEALTH INFORMATION:
Twig is fully healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Please, if you can foster or adopt Twig, reach out. He has waited long enough. He deserves better than this. 💔
