Timmy is a 2,5-year-old small Kokoni-type boy who was rehomed from us nearly two years ago. His family has adored him, but they have made the incredibly difficult decision to find him a more suitable home due to child health issues challenges.

💔 Why Timmy Needs Help 💔
Timmy is a sweet, loving, and incredibly devoted boy who has made amazing progress in the right environment. However, his sensitivity to emotions has made life increasingly difficult for him. His home environment has become more challenging due to a child’s health issues, resulting in frequent emotional outbursts and high stress levels.

Timmy is highly empathetic and responsive to human emotions, often offering comfort when someone is upset. But the intensity and unpredictability of emotional distress in the household have begun to overwhelm him. During these moments, he becomes distressed and unable to relax, trembling with anxiety and seeking comfort himself.

Despite his family’s love and dedication, they recognise that Timmy needs a calmer, steadier environment where he can feel secure and thrive.

Timmy is a loving, playful boy who adores people and enjoys the company of trusted adults. He’s friendly with visitors, gentle around children, and incredibly affectionate. His favourite activities include playing with soft toys, a game of tug, and collecting shoes and socks around his bed—his record is an impressive 26 items in one day!

He is fully house-trained, patient around food, and has good door manners. He’s also excellent with handling, making grooming and vet checks easy. Timmy doesn’t like water, prefers to avoid the rain, and is not a fan of baths.

While Timmy is a good companion in the home environment, his leash-reactivity on walks towards dogs and cats can make outdoor walks stressing. Until adopted at 7 months old he lived with many dogs and was always playful and friendly with them. But communicating with family we discovered that he was never ever allowed off leash and was not allowed to make dogs friends. His family was enrolling trainers and now he is doing good group walks with other dogs. We will be happy to provide materials to help to improve it. And one of advice – giving him a chance to walk on a long leash and off leash. He requires understanding handler who can continue working on his training and help him feel safe and secure on walks.

Timmy would thrive in a calm, adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children. He needs a loving and patient owner who can work with him to build his confidence and continue his training. A quiet, rural area with fewer encounters with other dogs and cats would be perfect for him, allowing him to enjoy his walks without stress.

He is a wonderful, loving dog with so much potential. In the right environment he will flourish into the happiest, most loyal and loving companion you could ever hope for.
