KERA is a small-to-medium dog, standing around 40 cm tall and weighing 13 kg (though she could shed a few kilos with a healthy diet). She’s a charming Pug cross, and at 4 years old, she’s ready to bring joy and affection into the right home.
KERA’s Story: KERA was once the centre of her owner’s world, living as a cherished companion from puppyhood. For years, she thrived on love, attention, and care, but life took a heartbreaking turn when her owner fell seriously ill and was hospitalized. Initially, her owner’s son took care of KERA, holding onto hope that his mother would recover. Sadly, her condition worsened, and it became clear she would not return home to care for KERA again.
So the son decided to surrender the dog ad never had enough time for ger. A family friend, out of kindness, took her in, making KERA the fourth dog in the household. Though she had no issues interacting with other dogs on walks, KERA wasn’t accustomed to sharing her living space. After spending her life as the only dog, she now struggles with the lack of individual attention and finds it hard to adjust to the presence of other dogs in the home.
This what the lady, who currently has her says: “ KERA is such a loving dog, she loves to give you hugs and kisses, she gives you the biggest greeting if she hasn’t seen you for a bit but sadly she needs to be in a home with no other dogs.
I took her on 6 weeks ago from my husbands friend, they was looking after her because his mum had been taken into hospital but once they found out she was not going to get well enough to come home he decided he didn’t want the dog.
To start with when we first had her she just growled which I thought we could deal with but over the few weeks, she became more protective. It’s heartbreaking to give her up but we’re all afraid one of them is going to get hurt. They are all afraid of her now so it’s got to the point it’s desperate. She is getting more stressed out every day. She will make someone a lovely pet as long as she’s the only dog. She’s 4 years old and not had the best 18 months with the lady’s son. He didn’t play with her or walk her, she loves to play all day if she could. She loves to sit with you and watch TV. She can sometimes pull a bit on the lead but isn’t bothered about dogs around her as long as they don’t get in her face. She’s spayed. She’s happy for you to check her mouth. She’s not very tall, the photos are deceiving.”
Ideal Home for KERA: KERA is searching for a home where she can be the sole pet. She’s perfect for someone who has the time to dedicate to her, offering her the love and stability she’s been missing. Although she doesn’t seek out play with other dogs, she is friendly and can tolerate them on walks.
