💔 ZARA’s world has crumbled – she needs your help! 💔
🐶 ZARA, a small 8-9-year-old Jack Russell cross, has lost everything she knew. Her owner is in the hospital, leaving her with nowhere to go. She urgently needs a calm and caring foster home where she can feel safe again.
About ZARA:
🐾 AGE: 8-9 years
🐾 SIZE: Small (7 kg, 32 cm)
🐾 SPAYED: Yes
🐾 HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes
🐾 CHARACTER: A little shy at first but warms up when treated kindly
🐾 AFFECTION: Loves to cuddle and will happily sit on your lap
🐾 HABITS: Enjoys park walks but doesn’t like the rain—if it’s wet, she’ll stop and wait to be picked up!
🐾 WALKS: Walks well on a lead but prefers to stay close to her human; wary of strangers, and big lorries
🐾 DOGS: ok, but best with out
🐾 CATS: Lived peacefully with a cat before, but chases unknown cats outside,
🐾 CHILDREN: Better adult only home or with older gentle and confident children 12+
🐾 SOCIALISATION: Can be a little unpredictable with strangers—best to keep her close during walks
🐶 ZARA currently at Foster and that’s what Foster say about her: ” Zara has been in foster care now for 6 weeks. She is an extremely lovely and affectionate girl, who likes to be curled up by my side in bed. She is good with cats as she lives with mine, no problems shown! She loves all dogs and has shown no aggression. She needs an anti gulp bowl in order to slow down her eating. She walks well on the lead if a harness is used, otherwise, she will pull slightly. She sleeps in an open crate all night with no disturbances. The only problematic situations that have been shown are that she doesn’t like my rabbits and will bark at the postman. Furthermore, I have not tested her with children and therefore am not sure how she behaves with them. Despite all that she is an absolute delight!”
Special Considerations:
⚠ HISTORY OF MISTREATMENT – She was previously mistreated by teenagers or men wearing dark clothing and remains wary of them, can bark or growl
🐶 ZARA likes her walks but can a bit pull on the lead when exited. She sleep in her create at night.
