LIKA’s Journey to Safety
LIKA’s journey began in the rubble of Kharkiv, near the ruins of a bombed-out building. Whether she was abandoned or simply lost amidst the chaos, no one knows. Yet through it all, she held onto hope. Rescuers found her, trembling but alive, and brought her to safety. Her resilience and spirit have never wavered, and she now shares nothing but love with those around her.

Foster’s Notes
Since arriving in the UK in December, LIKA (affectionately nicknamed “Babygirl”) has shown what a sweet and gentle dog she truly is. Here’s what her foster has to say:

“LIKA is a sweet-natured little darling who loves nothing more than being close to you. She’s shy around unfamiliar faces, but once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with affection.

She would suit a female adopter (single or family) with a garden, away from a busy town, and she’d thrive with an older, experienced dog to help her come out of her shell.

She’s house-trained and very clean in my flat. She feels safe here but struggles with my busy area—it’s too overwhelming for her. However, in quieter spaces like the park or my mum’s countryside garden, she absolutely shines and becomes a different dog. She needs somewhere peaceful where she can feel truly at home.”

LIKA is a balanced, intelligent girl who’s eager to please and quick to learn. She listens beautifully, dashing into her kennel on command and waiting patiently for her treat. Her cheerful personality is matched by her obedience and grace, making her an absolute joy to have at home.
