๐๐ถ ROCCO โ Snuggly Friendly and Sociable Frenchie Boy Left Behind Again
๐ฌ๐ง Burton on Trent, DE15
๐ถ Sometimes I truly feel speechless. Rocco, a sweet and loving 2 years old French Bulldog, was bought by someone through private advertising. And then less than 24 hours later โ heโs been surrendered to our Rescue ๐๐ข. This little boy came with a cherry eye, which the family were not told about, and once they contacted the seller, who have them dog yesterdayโฆ they were blocked. No help, no response, no taking him back. Fortunately, we stepped in. Rocco been neutered and had his cherry eye corrected โ and now he is ready to find forever loving home.
That’s what his current Fosters say about him: “We are currently fostering Rocco, 2 year old french bulldog. This boy is a stunner with lovely colouring that is now ready for his forever home. He has recently been castrated and had a cherry eye removed and is recovering brilliantly, Rocco walks fantastic on a lead eating wet and dry food and LOVES playing with cuddly toys, he gets on well with our resident dog and isn’t fazed by our 3 cats, he loves playing with our children and is always giving lots of kisses in return for head scratches. Rocco does sleep in a crate but prefers the door open, can be left for a few hours without any issues.

๐ Rescue Story
Roccoโs โadoptionโ (not from us) lasted one a day. His new family described him as sweet and affectionate, craving cuddles and kisses โ but high-energy and too strong for their little child, who was frightened after being scratched when Rocco jumped on him.
When they tried to speak to the person they adopted him from, they were blocked. No support. No concern. No offer to take him back.
๐ฃ Former Ownerโs Words
โWe adopted this beautiful French Bulldog yesterday. He likes nothing more than snuggles and lots of kisses. He needs a lot of walking and canโt be left, as he gets very upset. Heโs a strong boy and has jumped up my little boy and scratched his back. Now my little boy is scared of him. We would love to keep him if he was trained and able to stay alone, as we are working full time.โ
๐ถ Detailed Information
๐ถ Rocco is a people-oriented, bouncy little Frenchie. He is house-trained, used to being inside the home, and friendly with dogs (though tested only on my female dogs). He doesnโt do well being left alone immediately and needs time to settle and then gradually trained to stay alone. He is not suited for homes with too young children โ not due to aggression, but because of his strength, energy, and loving excitement.
๐ก Ideal Family
๐ถRocco would thrive in a loving home with dog savy children, where someone is around most of the day or at least during 2-3 weeks of settlement time. He needs structure, routine. A friendly female dog companion could be a bonus. Breed experience is a plus. Right now, he simply needs to be safe, loved, and given time to heal โ both physically and emotionally.
๐ Rocco is only around two years old, and already has lived through too much. But he hasnโt given up. He still leans in for affection. Still offers trust. Please be the person who doesnโt walk away. Give him the chance no one else has.
โ Health Information
Rocco is healthy. Neutered (May 2025). Cherry eye operated successfully.
