🐾 Give A Safe Haven To War Dog from Ukraine 🐾

PIKA is a tender, modest, and sweet tiny girl of around 6-7 months old. Guessing to be a Toy Terrier and/or Chihuahua mix, She’s very small but with a heart that deserves so much love. Located : Manchester, M22

SIZE: Small (25 cm shoulder height/4 kilos)
SPAYED: No, still a little underweight and too young for her tiny size
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Gentle, Modest, Soft, Tender
DOGS: Friendly with all dogs but not comfortable with large or pushy ones
CATS: Good with cats
CHILDREN: Recommended for older children (12+) due to her gentle nature

PIKA is currently at Foster and that’s what they say about her: ” Pika is the sweetest puppy, full of energy with a very kind nature. She is very human orientated and likes nothing more than to be with her human family. She also likes to play with smaller dogs and has a very funny, cheeky, loving personality. She is mostly house-trained, she has had a couple of accidents due to her new environment but does go to the toilet in the garden. She would suit a home where she has similar friendly playful small dogs or a human who is at home a lot to engage with her.She is full of personality, despite being so small she has jumped the baby gate to follow me upstairs this morning, she has got so attached to me that I can’t go anywhere without her. She also keeps jumping on the coffee table and trying to drink from my husband’s cup ”

Rescue Story:

PIKA has already faced more hardship in her short life than many could imagine. Found abandoned near a rubbish bin, this tiny angel was barely surviving, alone in a big, unkind world. When kind people called the rescue to save her, PIKA was too small to go to a shelter, so she went into a foster home. But tragedy struck when her foster family lost a loved one to the war, and grief overshadowed their home. PIKA became invisible in a world filled with despair. Her quiet and gentle spirit grew even sadder, but there is hope for her to find joy once again in a loving UK home.

Detailed Information:

PIKA is very soft, tender, and shy. She’s the kind of pup who melts into the background, so quiet and gentle that you almost forget she’s there – but once she trusts you, her affection will warm your heart. Though she’s good with humans of all ages, we recommend older children (12+) as she’s quite shy and needs a peaceful environment to feel comfortable. PIKA is friendly with all dogs but prefers smaller, calm ones as larger or pushy dogs may overwhelm her. She’s also good with cats, showing her gentle, adaptable nature.

PIKA will need time and patience to build trust, but with love and care, we believe her joy will return, and she’ll shower her new family with affection.

PIKA will thrive in a calm, loving home where she can come out of her shell at her own pace. A family that understands her tender nature, offering her a quiet space and gentle affection, will be the perfect match for her. While she’s good with dogs and cats, a home with a calm, friendly dog companion could help her feel more confident. We recommend a peaceful home with older children who will respect her quiet, shy personality. Let’s bring the joy and light back into PIKA’s life by giving her the loving home she deserves.

PIKA is not spayed yet due to her young age, small size and being slightly underweight, but it is recommended after she reaches a healthy weight. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel. All dogs are C. Brucella tested before their trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
