Rescue Story:
ALEN’s story began in the harsh winter fields of Ukraine. As a helpless blind baby, he was cruelly abandoned far from any human settlements. By sheer chance, a kind lady spotted him roaming alone and exhausted, likely searching for warmth and food for days. ALEN was only about 9-10 weeks old when rescued, starving and desperate. Despite all he’s been through, his heart is filled with gratitude, and he showers everyone he meets with love, proving daily how good and worth to rescue he is.

Elina, who is currently in Ukraine visiting rescue dogs at shelter and fosters, had the pleasure of meeting ALEN herself. With children by her side, they all instantly fell in love with him. Having met hundreds of dogs, Elina rarely encounters one as sweet and affectionate as ALEN. The kids were heartbroken leaving him behind and asked Elina to do everything possible to find him the loving home he truly deserves.

ALEN is a remarkable boy who doesn’t see his blindness as a limitation. He’s incredibly sociable, adoring all humans, including children, and is great with other dogs. His playful yet gentle nature shines through, as he’s always ready for a game or a cuddle. He does get a bit bouncy, being a young pup, so kids aged 6+ would suit him best. ALEN’s affection knows no bounds—he’ll greet you with hugs, kisses, and endless joy.

Being blind doesn’t cause ALEN many challenges. He quickly learns the layout of a home and garden, making himself right at home within days. Born blind, he’s developed amazing mechanisms to get around. A home with a decent, secure garden is essential for his safety and happiness. The rescue will offer plenty of advice and connect his future family with other blind dog owners for support.

ALEN’s ideal family will be one that values his resilience and unconditional love with previous experience in dogs (doesn’t matter blind or not, more important id to understand dogs and their body language). ALEN is fully healthy expect of blindness, neutered, and has all core vaccines done. He is microchipped. All dogs arrive C.Brucella tested before their trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
