LISSA is currently at Foster in UK with many other dogs and kids. That’s what foster say about her : ” Lovely Lissa (affectionately known as “Boulder”) is a truly special girl! Despite her traumatic past, she is such a shining light 🥰 Brave, bold, sweet, loving, playful and full of charm! It took her no time at all to bond with her foster family, including teens, 5 other dogs! She is a rather good judge of character in terms of others’ personalities and responds accordingly. She gives space to others when needed, and plays enthusiastically to those responsive to it. She responds positively to correction if she oversteps. Lissa is growing to love playing with toys (especially a tennis ball!) and exploring on walks. She can play quite dramatically, so a home with older children (if any) would be preferred. She is clean in the house and can be left for short periods so far – she is super happy to see you when you’re back! Lissa has a wonderful zest for life and a love of companionship. She is such a sweetheart and will bring so much warmth, fun and love to her forever home 💕”

Rescue Story:
LISSA’s story is one of incredible survival and resilience. She was found in a river, barely alive, with a stone tied around her neck. A woman saw her being thrown into the water from a bridge and rushed to save her. LISSA was rescued just in time, half a meter from drowning. She was immediately taken to vet, where was discovered that she has bad pyometra. Perhaps someone decided to end her life rather than treat her. She was successfully operated and is absolutely healthy now. For over two years, LISSA has moved from foster to foster, with little hope of finding a loving family and a forever home.
