Meet DIESEL, an adorable cheeky 6 months old puppy boy who’s looking for a loving home 🐾 Although his breed is unknown fully we do know he will be large. He has such a beautiful nature making him a loyal and loving companion eager to please His cheerful and loving personality will win your heart in no time
Rescue Story: DIESEL was picked up by our Rescue volunteer with 4 of his siblings at the age of 4 months old, after an RSPCA inspection made family to rgently surrender pups, as their living conditions where not suitable. RSPCA didn’t have space and reccommended our rescue.
SIZE: Large, currently 53cm 18 kg
NEUTERED: No, still too young 🦴
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Friendly, happy, easy going, loving, cuddly, cheeky, playful, mischievous, very quick to learn.
DOGS: Loves other dogs but being so young needs to learn some manners.
CATS: Good with cats, but can be too interested, as wants to play
CHILDREN: Best suited for homes with older children (9+) due to being large and playful. He is really good with kids. Has been around children and needs to be with children who know how to be calm around him.
DIESEL is currently at Foster family and that’s what foster say about him : ” After fostering Diesel for around 4 weeks now he is truly such an amazing dog! He is such an intelligent, very loving and easy to train dog. Training Diesel is so easy especially as he loves treats. He has learnt to sit, lay down give paw, roll over, and will wait to eat his food or a treat when told if you ask him to wait. Diesel walks really well on a lead especially when you have a treat in hand and does require ongoing training to not pull and to allow him off lead with recall. Being the breed he is he absolutely loves to play fetch with a ball or toy he will bring it right back to you and drop it in your lap or at your feet to throw again. He is honestly such a gentle, intelligent and cuddly dog. Obviously still being a puppy he can be bouncy, especially when he is playing and excited and doesn’t know his own size and weight yet. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body he just loves to play. Diesel sleeps amazing at night in his crate, and understands when asked to go to his bed in his crate as his safe space, he loves chews and dog treats. He will suit a family with children 8+ due to his size and who have an active lifestyle as he really needs lots of exercise being a collie cross.
As with any puppy he will sometimes take something he’s not allowed to but he will drop them when asked without a fuss.
He deserves a home where a family can give him the time and loving that he needs, to bring out and enhance his amazing personality. Facts to know about this amazing dog. He is a large puppy, and will grow bigger. So needs lots of space and a house with a garden for him to play in when at home.
He loves and needs both physical and mental stimulation. So needs a family who can give the time for him. The time we have spent with Diesel has been a beautiful experience and we will be sad to see him leave, he has already learnt so much and will be an amazing additional to any family who has the time and lifestyle suited to such an active dog.”
DIESEL is a lively and affectionate puppy who’s quick to make friends with both people and animals. He’s very comfortable with other dogs, though due to his age he is very pushy and bouncy so will need a patient and tolerant dog to help him learn some manners.
DIESEL is still a puppy, so he’ll need continuous guidance and training as he grows, including basic commands, house training, lead training and socialisation. Families need to be aware although very cute DIESEL will need a lot of work and patience to help him learn what’s right and wrong in the big world.
DIESEL would thrive in a home that’s ready to embrace the joys of puppyhood and commit to his continued training and care. He is very playful and his loving nature makes him an ideal companion for someone who has the time and patience to help him blossom. A home with older children who can understand his needs and actively participate in his care would be perfect.
DIESEL is a healthy puppy, in process of being fully vaccinated. Is microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms. He has no known health issues.
