❀️🐢 ALBI – A War Survivor Searching for His Safe Haven 🐢❀️

🏠 LIFE-LONG FOSTER HOME NEEDED – No Adoption Fees Involved 🏠

πŸ“ Located in Walsingham, NR22 – Transport Can Be Arranged
🌟 RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided

ALBI, a small-sized 8-9 year-old corgi cross, has endured more than most dogs could ever imagine. He survived the war in Ukraine, living with soldiers on the front lines before being rescued and brought to safety. Despite everything, ALBI remains a gentle, loyal, and loving soulβ€”but he desperately needs a calm, understanding home where he can finally find peace.

We are looking for a committed, loving, and patient foster who can offer ALBI the peace and security he so desperately needs. There is no adoption fee, but we require that ALBI is enrolled in insurance. We will provide 4 weeks of free PetPlan insurance, which must be continued by his permanent foster.

Since arriving in the UK, ALBI has been passed through multiple homes. One of these homes mistreated him, leaving him traumatised and defensive. Thankfully, his current foster has worked wonders, rebuilding his trust in humans. With her, ALBI is affectionate, happy, and back to being his sweet self.

πŸ’” Sadly, his foster can no longer keep him as she must leave to care for her son, whose health has deteriorated. This is what she says:

πŸ—£οΈ β€œI’m so sorry to advise I can’t keep dear Albi as my son’s health has deteriorated, and I need to care for him in another city. We tried hard to get Albi to accept him, but to no avail. He is such a good boy with me, and I will miss him so much.”

Detailed Information
ALBI is a sensitive and loving dog, but he has been through a lot. His time on the front lines and the many changes in his life have left him anxious and wary of new people, and he can become uncomfortable when people move suddenly around him. He feels a strong need to protect himself, his home, and the people he loves.

Despite this, ALBI has shown that with the right environment and careful management, he can relax and be his “best self.” He loves spending time with his person, watching birds in the garden, enjoying food puzzles, and is even beginning to show interest in toys. He enjoys his walks and will calmly ignore people and dogs on lead as long as they don’t come too close.

His ideal home is one with no or few visitors, a predictable environment, and possibly baby gates to manage his space when new people are around.

ALBI does not like being picked up, and one of his trial homes had an incident when someone suddenly tried to lift him. This may have been related to discomfort in his back legs, as he has shown significant improvement since starting on joint supplements.

ALBI is wonderful with the right personβ€”a dedicated, experienced dog lover who understands his needs and will respect his boundaries. He is not an aggressive dog, but he needs time to feel safe and a home where he can build trust at his own pace.

The Right Home for ALBI
πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦³ Preferably a single woman or an older lady – Someone experienced with dogs that need patience and love. He bonds deeply with women but has shown difficulty accepting men.
🏑 A calm, quiet environment – ALBI thrives in a peaceful home with a predictable routine.
πŸ›οΈ A patient and understanding person – Someone who will respect his space and let him decompress at his own pace.
πŸšͺ A secure home with a garden – He enjoys watching birds and relaxing outdoors.

ALBI has been let down too many times. He deserves a final, safe place to call home, where he will never have to be uprooted again.

Health Information
ALBI is in good health for his age, though he has some stiffness in his back legs. He would benefit from joint support supplements and weight management (good quality food + sufficient walks). Neutered. Fully vaccinated. Microchipped. Tested for C. Brucella (licensed laboratory certificate provided)
