UK surrender: Bruno – 11 months old- Large- Husky

Meet Bruno, a beautiful, fiercely intelligent and loyal 11 month old Siberian Husky! Location:Derbyshire DE55.

With a heart full of love. Sadly he found him self needing a new home through absolute no fault of his own just before Christmas.

Thankfully an amazing foster stepped in! He is very friendly but unfortunately he has had very little training. He is absolutely thriving with his foster family and will need a family willing to work with him.

🦴 BRUNO’S FACTS:

Age: 11 months
Size: Large – Siberian Husky
TRAINING: Knows sit, paw and jump, toilet trained, needs to continue leash work.
HOME LIFE: Fully house trained. Training well for high value treats. No food aggression.
CHARACTER: Playful, loving, and joyful. Can be clumsy with children due to his size and pushy with other dogs.
DOGS: Loves playing with other dogs but sometimes can be too pushy so we would recommend a slow introduction to a calm larger dog.
CHILDREN & ANIMALS: Great with kids but just be 11+ and dog savvy due to his size and still being very boisterous. Good with other dogs but is pushy. Likes cats.
HEALTH: No medical issues.

Bruno has been in a foster home since Boxing Day, this is what his foster family say –

Bruno update
πŸ’™ He’s a giant puppy who is playful and wants to learn and be loved but doesn’t quite get how big and strong he is.
πŸ’™ Hes loving his training and responds well to treats (mainly cocktail sausages for big training or anything cheese based).
πŸ’™ He’s very boisterous with other dogs so I’d recommended him being an only dog if possible but with time and slow introduction he could get on well with another larger dog.
πŸ’™ He shows no food aggression and is learning to take treats gently really well.
πŸ’™ He does jump up at visitors or for a cuddle but is learning not to so this will need to be continued in his training.
πŸ’™ He doesn’t chew furniture etc but will steal socks, pants, tea towels but he will exchange them eventually for a toy.
πŸ’™ He’s great with kids but because of his size he absolutely needs to be with dog savvy kids aged 11+.
πŸ’™He settles well at night and is toilet trained too. He does sit and paw currently. His walks are getting better on the lead every time we go out too but again this will require continued work.

Bruno desperately wants a forever home with a family who can teach him the ways of the world and will love him unconditionally, he has a lot of love to give in return πŸ’™ let’s make this beautiful boys Christmas wish come true πŸŽ„
