MARTIN ā€“ The Gentle and Loving Soul

MARTIN is a small-size just above 6-month-old puppy boy. While nearly fully grown, he may gain a bit more size. Heā€™s ready to board the Happy Doggy Bus to the UK on 10th January, but he needs a home to give him the love heā€™s been waiting for.

Quick Facts:
SIZE: Small (38 cm / 10 kg, may grow slightly)
SPAYED/NEUTERED: No (neuter agreement applies)
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Gentle, calm, affectionate
DOGS: Good with other dogs (prefers calmer or female dogs)
CATS: Good with cats
CHILDREN: Best with older kids (due to his gentle nature)

Rescue Story
MARTINā€™s story is intertwined with his brother CHOCOā€™s, as both were found in the ravaged town of Toretsk in Donbass. Their mum was unable to protect them, left behind amidst the chaos, likely after her owners fled or perished in the violence. Volunteers risked everything to save the abandoned dogs left in this desolate place.

In the rescue footage of ALEX and ARIEL, you might recall the moment where volunteers huddled under a tree to avoid an attacking drone. One of them carried CHOCO, but it was MARTIN who was cradled safely in another rescuerā€™s arms. These tiny pups were plucked from devastation and carried to safety, their survival against the odds a heartwarming glimmer of hope amidst the darkness.

Toretsk is now reduced to ashes, a grim reminder of the war’s devastation. MARTINā€™s escape from such a place is nothing short of miraculous, and his gentle, sweet nature is proof of the strength and beauty of his spirit despite the horrors he has endured.

Detailed Information
MARTIN is a calm, gentle puppy with a bit shy but loving personality. While cautious with new people, he warms up quickly, his little tail wagging in hope. MARTIN adores the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a calm, friendly dog to guide him. He enjoys playtime but is happiest when snuggled close to his humans.

Almost fully housetrained, MARTIN rarely has nighttime accidents and walks well on a lead. Heā€™s curious about the world but appreciates a patient, understanding family who can help him build his confidence. With love and training, MARTIN will grow into a devoted and loving companion.

MARTIN would do best in a calm, patient household, ideally with another gentle dog to help him navigate his new life. A family with older children who understand his gentle nature would be ideal. His new family should be prepared to support his ongoing training and socialisation, helping him blossom into the loving, confident pup heā€™s meant to be.

MARTINā€™s tender heart and sweet nature make him a truly special pup. If youā€™re ready to offer love and a safe space, MARTIN will reward you with endless loyalty and affection.

Health Information
MARTIN is fully healthy, has all core vaccines done, and is microchipped. He is not neutered due to his young age (neuter agreement applies). All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
